1. Think about the person you are buying for. What are their likes and interests? Make a list of the things they do like so you can get a visual, which will help you choose the best gift card.
2. Look over the list. Now put store names next to the list of likes and interests. For example: if the person you are buying for is really into electronics, you might consider writing "Best Buy" down. Then you would know that you should buy a Best Buy gift card. If you know the person loves to read, write down "Barnes & Noble" or "Books-A-Million" next to it. Also, if you know that the person loves eating out, write "Outback Steakhouse" or some other restaurant that you think they will like!
3. Now that you have the list of interests and stores you will have a clearer picture of where you should purchase the gift card! The amount of money you choose to spend on the gift card is up to you. Certain stores have certain amounts you can purchase.
4. If you cannot think of anything that might interest them, you may be better off buying them a Visa Gift Card or a Mastercard Gift Card. That way they can go to almost ANY store or restaurant and use their gift card. Visa gift cards and Mastercard gift cards can also be used to buy groceries and pay bills, so this may be the perfect gift for the older crowd.
