How to Choose The Right Gift
1. To choose the right gift, the easiest thing to do is ask the person you're buying for what they want. Sometimes people are stubborn, however and insist that they don't want you to get them anything. Sometimes people simply don't know what they want, and sometimes what people want is way out of your price range. If that's the case, move on to step 2. All of these things can make your search to choose the right gift difficult, but don't give up hope.
2. Pay close attention to what the person you're buying for likes. What are their hobbies and interests? If they like cooking, maybe look for something that would make their time in the kitchen easier, like a popular new appliance. If they like sports, maybe look for something related to their favorite sports team. If they like clothes, ask them what their favorite stores are.
3. When trying to choose the right gift for someone, ask their significant other, their closest friends, or their family members. The people who are closest to whoever you're buying for will know them best and what they like and dislike. It's possible that they'll even have a list of what that person wants or needs which would greatly help you choose the right gift.
4. When you simply can't choose the right gift, go with gift cards! You usually can't go wrong with a gift card. Gift cards are fun because you can get whatever you want. As the gifter, you know that the receiver of your gift will use and enjoy whatever they get because they're the ones picking it out. Gift cards are also great for when the person you're buying for is asking for something that's out of your price range.
5. If all else fails and you absolutely can't choose the right gift or gift card, go with cash. Some people consider cash impersonal, but most people will appreciate it anyway. Whoever you're buying for will be able to get whatever they want and you don't have to fret about it because let's face it, some people are nearly impossible to buy for, especially if they're the sort of people who already have everything.
6. Don't forget the gift receipt! Almost every store offers gift receipts these days and they sort of take the stress off of you because you know that if you didn't choose the right gift or the right size of something, they can return it and get what they want or a size that fits.
